Whether you know him as Roland, or just Jesse, there is no doubt that this senior is definitely in the spotlight.

Jesse is a well known athlete and scholar at Poplar Bluff High School with a list of accomplishments as large as his arms.

Some of these are multiple varsity letters in wrestling and football, the Billy Johnson memorial football award, along with the Sam Robertson memorial wrestling award.

Jesse has a few more along the way, such as most aggressive, MVP and leadership wrestling awards. This “Iron-Man” also received the 2005 outstanding Law Enforcement Officer award at Missouri Boy’s State, and recently won at the Rockwood Summit Tournament.

When Jesse looks back on his high school days, some of his favorite memories include playing sports with his friends, assemblies and cutting it close between classes when he was talking... and of course the last day of school is going to be a favorite memory as well.

After high school, college is definite, and maybe you’ll be able to see Jesse on ESPN for NCAA wrestling. That’s always a possibility.

Jesse is interested in pursuing a career as a physical therapist or maybe even a personal trainer. You can never really tell, but maybe, depending on how he fares in college, Jesse might consider wrestling his way to the Olympics.

But having been in high school for what seems like such a long time, Jesse has learned a few things, such as: doing your homework is important, hang out with your friends because time goes by fast and always stay focused on your goals.

Some other stuff Jesse would like everyone to know is that he expects everyone to buy his “Body By Jesse” workout tapes when he becomes a famous personal trainer.
