Senior Jordan Chaligoj -

Jordan Chaligoj has been selected for one of this month’s coveted Senior Spotlights. Jordan is the son of Kirk and Geana Chaligoj, and is an only child.

Throughout high school, Jordan played basketball for four years, baseball for one year and ran track for two years. When not playing sports, he is actively involved in ISAC, Beta Club, STUCO, Chemistry Club, Leo Club, FBLA and Link Crew.

Jordan said his biggest accomplishment in high school was “when I won Mr. Snowman.”

Outside of school, he stays active in his favorite hobbies, which include “playing sports with my buds and just kickin’ back and chillin’.”

Some of Jordan’s favorite things in the world range from the song “Everytime We Touch” by Cascada to the color red to the TV show “Mythbusters.”

“My favorite teacher is Ms. Hogg,” said Jordan, “because she played fantasy football with us.”

While his best memory in high school was his entire senior year, Jordan’s favorite childhood memory was “when me and Bill (Turner) caught a chicken in my backyard and killed it and fried it.”

If he could trade places with anybody in the world, it would be “Tiger Woods, because he is filthy rich and has a smokin’ hot wife!”

Jordan is inspired in everyday life by his parents, “because they are the hardest working people I know.”

On leaving high school, Jordan is going to miss “seeing my friends everyday and going to all the dances.”

His college plans include attending the University of Missouri-Columbia for law school. He would like to become a lawyer and later come back to Poplar Bluff to work.

“Hopefully in 10 years, I’ll be sitting behind my desk at work looking at pictures of my Porsche, my kids and my sizzlin’ wife!”

Jordan leaves his mark on PBHS with his advice for the underclassmen:

“Live everyday to the fullest because it’ll all be over before you know it.”
