Having family members working at school might be a cool thing for a student . They can sign papers and give money if needed.

However, it could also be a negative thing. If the student gets into trouble, the family member is right there to punish them.

Here at Poplar Bluff High students get to experience the positives and negatives of having family with them at school. Casey Brown, whose mother is English teacher Ms. Libby Brown, said, “It’s good to have my mom at school because I get to go in her room, and mess with her stuff.”

Ms. Brown said about having her children at school, “ I’m actually enjoying it. I like knowing where they are, knowing their teachers and friends.”

Ms. Lisa Mendoza, who works in the Counselor’s Office, talks about how great it is to have her daughter, Amanda Barriner, at school. “I get to see her a lot more, and I’m more involved with her stuff.”

Amanda said about her mom saying, “It’s cool because she can help me with things at school.”
