During third period on April 20, 2007, members of the golf team as well as faculty and staff joined the Robledo family to remember Coach Danny Robledo, Muir’s assistant golf coach who passed away on the golf course on March 12, 2007. Head Coach Fred Robledo, Danny’s brother, said some remarks and reminisced about his brother’s dedication to coaching the team and to helping his students. Mr. Roggenstein and Dr. McKenna were also there to dedicate a memorial to the late Coach. A tree was planted in his memory and a rock painted with Danny’s picture was presented to the family and the school. It was an emotional event that left everyone thinking about all the good that Coach Danny did for Muir and how much he really would have appreciated the gesture.
