With just about the size of an average classroom, N.E.Y. or Neighbors Empowering Youth is one of Mustangs on the Move enrichment after-school programs. The class, which for many might sound dull and boring, is not what you might think when you hear the name. Found right in front of the student store, the bungalow classroom G-103 is exclusively reserved after school for those with nothing less than the creativity, skills, and motivation to learn about computers along with the instructor Mr. John Smith. Mr. Smith who also happens to be a FEMA employee is seen as an encouraging teacher who has taught certain skills including job- training. Keeping in mind the great importance of how technology has and will continue to influence life and global systems, a current member of the program admits it has been fun. For three years there has been a lot of beneficial and useful information to know especially if computers happen to be something you value. The variety of skills to learn after school in relation to computers is something to take advantage of, and if you would like to learn more about this program attend their meetings Mondays through Thursdays 3:30- 6:00pm in G-103.
