The Venice girls golf team already played impressive games against Palisades, Narbonne, and LACES. These were their first attempts in keeping their title as Western League champs.

By the looks of the wins against Palisades, Narbonne, and LACES, this year seems to show an improvement compared to last year’s wins, said golf team captain Kristin Kim.

The team hasn’t lost any players, but instead gained three hardworking freshmen.

“I love my new freshies! They’re so cute,” says golf team member Tara Nishiyama. The golf team has high hopes for the new players and members are confident to know that they have the potential to lead the team in another successful season.

Coach Myra Einberg is very confident this year and dreams to be top two in the city, along with sending two or three of their players to the City Finals. She hopes her star players Kim and Nishiyama will make it to state finals and has very high expectations for their high school golfing career.
