It’s a week most Weir High students look forward too, Spirit Week! Every year when the Weir High football team gets ready to battle with rival Brooke High School, the Red Riders show their school spirit!

This week is the annual Spirit Week; the days this year are Monday- mix-match day, Tuesday – jersey day, Wednesday – costume day, Thursday – mock Brooke day, and Friday - Weir Pride day!

It’s always fun to see what people can come up with to show their school spirit. According to some students, mix-match day is one of the favorites at Weir High. “It’s the one day you can dress how you want and not get judged,” senior Meagan McKitrick said.

Although freshman Zachary Kelley said, “Costume day is my favorite because I like seeing everyone dressed up”.

Spirit week is a fun, school friendly way to get the school pumped for the Friday night football game. And every year the days differ, but the one thing that’ll always stay is the Weir High pride!
