Teague High School

At-a-glance

On Tuesday, May 17, the Class of 2011 gathered at the Teague City Park to spend time with their fellow classmates and get a little messy.  The fun began at six o’ clock starting off with the seniors chowing down on hamburgers.  While the picnic was only one of the many senior events, old friendships were renewed.  After starting off with a quick bite to eat, the seniors played many games.  Each senior was divided into five teams.  Each team competed in different types of games.  The first game was where three people had to eat a plate full of Little Debbie snacks and Fig Newton bars.  Following the first game, the second was where two people from each team had to eat a banana and chug a Sundrop.  Next, three people from each team had to suck Jello or pudding out of a straw.  The fifth game consisted of a person from each team putting on goggles and laying on the ground while another team member attempted to drop marshmellows covered in chocolate syrup in the other teammate’s mouth.  Next, there were three people from each team, one team member had to blow up a balloon while the second person had to put shaving cream on the balloon and the third member had to shave the balloon without popping it.  Lastly, a boy and a girl from each team were chosen.  The guy put an egg in a knee high on his head and then the girl got on the guy’s shoulders.  They had one giant chicken fight to try to bust the other team’s eggs.

To end the night, the seniors made a mess by having a massive water balloon, water, flour, and shaving cream fight.  A few days after the picnic, the intercom announced that the blue team won first place.  While these seniors only have a few days of high school left, they are leaving the school with many memories that came from this night.
