“Good morning, Patriots. Please stand for the flag salute.” These are the words said over Beckman’s speaker system every morning. But, who has the great privilege to announce our pledge to the whole student body? None other than senior Adam Mersel. Mersel is also the founder and President of the Media Arts Club.

Mersel has been involved in this club, one of the biggest groups on campus, for many years. He expressed, “This year I look forward to more events to come in the club and graduation.” According to Mersel, Beckman will have an exciting year with the Media Arts Club and get to participate in many events.

Mersel is widely known for his connections to the entertainment business, which provides many advantages for great club activities, such as The Hills Premiere Party and many other highly anticipated events that have occurred over the years. He explained, “Soon we will be having a surprise guest come to Beckman for the Media Arts club.” Mersel’s connections to the entertainment business are not just useful to the Media Arts club, but they also inspire him. When Mersel graduates from Beckman High School this year, he plans to either attend New York University or University of Southern California and earn a business degree. After college, he hopes to work in the entertainment industry.

Now, as a senior at Beckman, Mersel has a wide variety of plans to look forward to and many past memories to look back upon. Mersel admitted, “I will always remember my friends, ASB [Associated Student Body], and the Media Arts Club.” Mersel will be taking many things away from what he has learned in the short four years at Beckman, such as good friends, fun experiences, and, of course, a high school diploma.

Mersel has been one of Beckman’s most honored students, working hard to make sure he is providing dedication and school spirit everyday. All these essential aspects add up to one thing: success. Adam Mersel advised others to follow in his footsteps. He explained, “Work hard now because it will help you later.” No matter what, Patriots are aware that this is not the last they will hear from future entertainment mogul Adam Mersel.
