Robert Downey Jr. makes his huge big-screen debut after being away from the public eye for some time. Iron Man surprises some, but lives up to many fans' dreams with a great adaptation of the Marvel comic book. It provides a perfect amount of action, excellent acting, and outstanding special effects. There isn’t anything that could make a movie like this more worthwhile. In many senses of the word, it is perfect.

John Favreau has made a big accomplishment. Many doubted his ability to direct such an enormous movie, but he couldn’t have done better. Robert Downey Jr. plays our main man in iron (A.K.A. Tony Stark), and his acting is truly spectacular; it’s great to have him back and cleaned up. It is very likely that he is one of the best actors of our time, and it will be a pleasure to see him in a sequel. Pepper Potts, Tony Starks' beautiful assistant, is played by Gwyneth Paltrow, who knows exactly how much subtle comedy to add to the role.

There could be thousands of words written about how good of a film this movie is, but the only aspect that you as a viewer need to know is that you should see it for yourself. It's not a masterpiece, but it breaches the line of most action movies and goes just a little over “entertaining” and into the “awesome” stage. Robert Downey Jr. alone is worth the admission price, and there is no exaggeration in that. Bottom line is go see Iron Man; there will be no regrets. It has something for every type of movie viewer, and you will have a fun time at the theatre.
