Rapidly and in increasing numbers, child predators are taking over family communities, doing what they do best: destroying children. Those who have noticed the growing rate of sexually abused children know that something must be done to stop and prevent these sexual perpetrators. However, there remains a majority of those who are simply oblivious or in denial about the issue. Those who are in fact in denial need to realize the importance of the moral necessity to act.

Without the cooperation and willingness to abandon the naivety that society relies on to maintain the precious ideals of the perfect world, the all time high of child sexual abuse will continue to grow. How long will it take for society to realize that child rape really can happen to anyone’s child? Rape does not discriminate toward any race, ethnicity, background, social, or economic status. Rather, it welcomes every unsuspecting and innocent child with open arms and more.

At this point in time, everyone especially every parent should have some knowledge about what molestation really is and how it takes place; those who don’t are oblivious because they are often caught up in their efforts to attempt to provide for their child. However, what these parents fail to recognize is the fact that every cent in the world will not protect their child from the most unsuspected sexual predators. Children need their parents to be there for them, guide them and explain the dangers that they may face in life. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, about 95% of victims know their perpetrators.
