What better way to learn French than to visit France itself?

That was the exact thinking of IB French teacher Paige Hall. Her love for the French language spurred her to travel and to share her passion with others through traveling. But she was soon dissatisfied with existing tour companies.

Rather than put up with overpriced corporate travel agencies, Hall opted to start her very own.

“I felt a need for a travel service that reaches other people in the community ––adults and children alike, which could benefit travelers the way group travel can, but including everyone of all ages, not just those who happen to be associated with a school,” said Hall.

She has taken several travel groups to France with an itinerary including Paris, Normandy, Brittany and the Loire Valley.

A goal of Hall’s was to travel with a more personal feel. “I wanted the flexibility of making a trip’s experience as authentic as possible. If I allow my travelers to do and experience as much as they can on their own, they are owning the trip for real. They take ownership in terms of being independent adventurers when we are there. I want them to live a life of a real native Parisian.”

Besides France, Hall has high hopes for traveling to other regions of Europe. She has already conducted tours to Switzerland and wishes to visit Poland and Austria.

Despite the changing value of the Euro, she continues to lead tours every year. Hall’s pursuit of her passion has not only benefited her, but has also opened windows of opportunity to others from the community.
