Saturday, April 16 is the big night of the Junior/Senior Prom. Prom will be from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Laramar.

The theme for this year’s prom will be “Far East Enchantment.”

Decorations will include trees, lights, screens, paper lanterns, Chinese symbols, flowers, chopsticks and a pond with lilies. The dancefloor will incorporate elements of nature and the Far East.

Student Body President Will Schnurr feels that “the dance will turn out really well; I think when people hear the theme they don’t know what to think; but I know they will be impressed when they see the dance.”

Reilly Brandenhorst, Student Body Treasurer, says that prom will have a “romantic, soothing feeling to it. Themes tend to blend together year after year, but this theme is completely different than the ones we have had before, it’s going to be great.”

Tickets will be sold for five dollars a piece the week of the dance.

Senior Casey Wilson follows with, “this years theme is interesting and it will be exciting to have something new.”

Senior Rachel Kersten says, “I’m really excited for this years prom. I think the theme will be terrific, great, fantastic, exciting, off the top wonderful.”
