Let’s hear it for a very successful 2010 Homecoming week!  Not only did Millennium have a great week, but on Friday the Varsity football team brought home a big win against Ironwood, with a final score of 40-35!

“I think it was a good homecoming this year, I had a lot of fun,” says senior Christian Sterr. “It was fun to see how people dressed up during the week, plus it really flew by. I can’t believe this is my last homecoming.”

Monday through Thursday, students participated in dress up days, such as hero vs. villain and twister Tuesday, they also enjoyed activities at lunch like a dunk tank and blow up obstacle course.  Friday the school had a pep rally to get students pumped up for the game later that night.  They watched the band and dance team and listened to the choir sing.

“I think the pep rally was pretty fun,” says junior Jeff Bushnell. “It was better than last year. I enjoyed it, the band did a good job performing as well as the choir.  I liked that we had shortened classes, but who didn’t, but either way it was fun.”

During the Friday night football game, Student Council announced the King and Queen of Homecoming and recognized the rest of the court.  Congratulations to the senior King and Queen, Tyke Solomon and  Jayme Wheeler, junior Prince and Princess, Alex Heather and Taylor Hamlet, sophomore Duke and Duchess, Dominic Showkeir and Sara Mendez, freshmen Count and Countess KeShaun Pinard and Heidy Camargo.

The 2010 Homecoming week was amazing, and although it is depressing it is over we can still make the rest of the school year even better.  Let’s help make this year great, especially for the seniors who want to enjoy this last year!
