At-a-glance

When you walk into Sugar N Spice bakery in Goodyear, Arizona, the first thing that hits you is the intensely sweet aroma of baked goods.  Next you have to decide: what delectable pastry will you devour today?

The selection isn’t too diverse, but the showcase is mouthwatering.  The cinnamon rolls will catch your eye first; they are massive and you have the option of two different types of icing, cream cheese and regular.  The scones are great too, especially the chocolate chip flavor.

There is also a vast assortment of drinks, but in my opinion, the specialty ones are too sweet.  I had the sweet tea, and my friend had the strawberry smoothie, and they were both a little difficult to drink because of the amount of sugar in them, to be honest.  I recommend sticking with a soda, some juice or just plain old iced water.

If you have a major sweet tooth, the drinks are for you.  If you are like me and can’t handle overly-sugared edibles, then I would recommend that you stick with the awesome pastries.

While the drinks may be a little too much for my taste, the cinnamon roll I had was to die for.

Sugar N Spice is a popular hangout spot for Millennium students, too.  Often after school gets out, the line can be out the door, but for most students it is well worth the wait.  Considering the popularity of this bakery, one can infer that it must be good.

The food is good, and the prices are great as well.  Nothing is too expensive, so it is affordable for everyone.  Whether you are looking for a place to go afterschool with your friends, or if you just need a good place to study while chowing down on some great food, Sugar N Spice is a fantastic choice.
