In need of help for the Wizard of Oz homecoming posters, Student Council went to Art Club. Glad to help, Art Club worked on four different posters for the theme: monkeys, corn, lions, and flowers. These posters would serve to enhance school spirit during homecoming week and the homecoming dance.

Student Council teamed up with Art Club to decorate the campus for homecoming. “We came to Art Club because we knew that they had what we needed, and they would be happy to help, “says sophomore Cheyann De Leon, Student Council member.

Student Council had organized the Art Room to be perfectly organized. They had four different tables for each poster so nothing will get mixed up. Freshman Summer Elam, who designed a monkey poster says, "I had tons of fun helping out Student Council because drawing is my favorite thing to do and having to draw monkeys was just a plus."

Finally the stress ended and homecoming arrived. Student Council and members of Art Club came to school early and helped decorate the gym for about eight hours with the posters they made representing The Wizard of Oz. De Leon adds, "They did a fantastic job and we will definitely be coming back to them for help in the future."

Art Club meets from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 702 every Tuesday. If you are interested in coming to Art Club just talk to Ms. Lincoln about joining all the fun.
