After fierce competition, a few tears, and total mental exhaustion, the winners for this year's Union High Sterling Scholars were announced on Friday, Decemebr 9. The winners are as follows:

*Dance--Stephanie Wells

*Drama--Tayva Puro

*Math--Wrandi Buxton

*Trade and Technology--Blake Higginson



These students will now begin to prepare for the regional competition.

Students must prepare a portfolio for the judges. Besides this judging, the students will interview with the judges.

We, as the Cougar Chronicle staff, congratulate all the winners and wish them the best of luck at the region tournament, which will take place in April of 2006.
