Union High School recently competed in the Utah State 3A drama meet on April 13th and 14th at Caron High School. They were one of the six schools to receive a plaque for superior schools. The other five schools were Carbon, Grantsville, Hurricane, Logan and Tooele. Superior schools had to receive superior ratings in each of their events.

Gold medals were won in each event.



In humorous monologue: Daniel Palmer in “Get Off the Shed!”, Tyler Hatch in “Smoked Meat”, Chett Wills in “Disarming the Bomb.” In Dramatic Monologue: Shelly Fausett in “Sybil”, Zack Aguiniga in “Seven” Contemporary Scenes: Ty’Lene Puro, Rachel Busenbark and Tyler LeBaron in “Wildflower”, Niklas Goldenthal and Katrina Stringham in “Summer of My German Soldier” Pantomime: Reece Bisel and Lance -White in “Batman & Robin Ride Again”, Nathan Dye and McLayne Eldredge in “”Canoe” Hand Me A Beer?”, MacCrea Bisel and Jordan Larsen in “Clogged Toilet”

To showcase the year the UHS drama department is having a Showcase Night on April 30th. Admission will be $3.00 with donations welcome. The drama department is excited to show the public what they have been working on during this school year.

Mrs. Dunsmore and the rest of the drama faculty would like to commend the students on their hard work and commitment this year. They're very pleased with the outcome of both their fall production and their competition pieces. Also, they would like to bid their seniors a fond farewell and thank them for all of their work over the years.
