Best Game- (6) Ohio State 27 at Northwestern 33. Noah Herron ran a one-yard run in for a touchdown in overtime to pull the upset against Ohio State. This win marked the Wildcats first win against the Buckeyes in 33 years. Herron scored 3 touchdowns including the game winner and rushed for 113 yards.

Biggest Upset- (7) West Virginia at Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech does not take kindly to being unranked. They also do not lose at home. West Virginia came into Blacksburg ranked number seven in the country and a dream to go undefeated and compete for the national championship game. They have a very easy schedule, but the dreams came to a stop when they lost 19-13 to Virginia Tech. The Tech defense allowed only 247 total yards to a quality West Virginia offense and held that same offense off on 13 third down attempts.

Strongest Performance- (9) Auburn. (9) Auburn came into Rocky Top, home of the Tennessee Volunteers, off a huge win against LSU and seemed unfazed with the overwhelming environment at Tennessee. Rocky Top is one of the hardest places to play, if not the hardest in college football, and Auburn dominated Tennessee the entire game. Auburn rushed for 148 yards and passed for 252 on its way to a 34-10 victory over number eight Tennessee.

Worst Performance- (13) LSU. (13) Louisiana State Universities “dominating” defense looked lethargic and slow all day and was “dominated” by (3) Georgia. Senior quarterback David Greene passed for 172 yards and a school record 5 touchdowns. Georgia had LSU exactly where they wanted them, between the hedges, which is the nickname of Georgia’s overwhelming stadium. LSU had given up the most points since a 56-13 loss to University of Florida in 1996.

Best Offensive Performance- Kyle Orton and Anthony Davis. Kyle Orton led (15) Purdue past Notre Dame going 21-31 for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns. He is a strong candidate for the Heisman Memorial Trophy. Anthony Davis rushed (20) Wisconsin passed Illinois by scoring every touchdown for the Badgers. He rushed for 213 yards on 27 carries and 3 touchdowns.

Biggest Blowout- (22) Louisville 59- East Carolina 7. Eric Shelton rushed for 129 yards on only 12 carries and recorded 5 touchdowns. Louisville amounted 549 total yards and allowed ECU to only 235. East Carolina has the nations second worst defense and currently 0-4. Louisville is ranked 22 in the nation and has started the season off by going 4-0.
