The final day of Homecoming not only marked the first win of the football season for the Sailors but also other events took place.
This year's Homecoming was dedicated to the Bilka family, and Shores staff and students raised $473 through the Lighthouse for Lindsay Campaign.
Lindsay, who would have been a senior, drowned in Lake Michigan on July 25, and students could purchase a paper lighthouse for $1 during Homecoming and write a message on it before it was posted in the glass hallway.
Shores students expressed their Sailor spirit throughout the school day on Friday by dressing in blue and white; also, students and staff attended the first pep assembly in the new Sailor Center gymnasium.
Another first occurred on Saturday when students attended the first semi-formal Homecoming Dance.
