There were gasses in the universe that collided to cause the Big Bang, the collision comic books, action figures, video games created The Big Bang Theory, the sitcom.
“The Big Bang is one of my favorite shows because I love the characters, they are very original and so different from the people I know and it’s hilarious,” junior Maria Martinez said.
With over 100 episodes and over 11.1 million episode viewers and  playing on multiple channels, The Big bang Theory, created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Pardy, entertains while educated watchers throughout the show.
The Big Bang Theory is about two socially awkward Physicists, Sheldon Cooper who has OCD is played by Jim Parsons and Leonard Hofstadter played by Johnny Galecki who work at Cal Tech in Pasadena, Calif.
They have two other friends Howard Wolowitz, played by Simon Helberg and Raj Koothrappali is played by Kunal Nayyar who could not talk to girls to save his save life.
The sitcom has a sophisticated type of humor revolving around science and other nerdy things.
“You have to understand the jokes to think this show is funny, when I watch it with my little brother, I’ll be cracking up at the jokes and he’ll just be sitting there with a blank face and with no idea what is going on,” senior Jose Martinez said.
The laboratory savvy nerds have a change in life style when an attractive aspiring actress, Penny played by Kaley Cuoco, moves in across the hall.
 She becomes friends with the Physicists and she introduces them to society and brings them into the social world.
After they become friends she   becomes a spark love interest for Leonard. While Penny has more of a ‘normal’ outlook on life, the boys are the norm of the TV show and present a different part of society.  
The boys grow through out the show and penny becomes less shallow.
“I love the romance between Leonard and Penny, it gives self claimed nerds like me hope for a chance of love, they are such a weird couple but so perfect at the same time,” junior Yesenia Gonzalez said.
