Mr. M-C, launching himself over obstacles.
 Editor's Note:
Before you read this we would like to thank Mr.Mc for letting us interview him and taking the time out to help us with our project.

Q:.What made you want to teach science?
A:The scientific method is like turning on a flashlight. For each person who utilizes it,their reality is better lit. The more of us who use it the brighter the world becomes, and the beauty that laid dormant is available for intellectual consumption. To give the scientific methods,as a tool to otheras,is to give them a skill which can allow them to better understand the worldand thier place in it. I became a teacher to give and train others in good use.

Q: What college did you do your degree at?
A: I gained my degree at U.C Davis in Neurobiology,Physiology and Behavior.

Q: .How many many years have you been teaching and how long will you teach for?
A: This is my third year.I began teachingat LBHS in 2007

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you do as a teacher?
A: Inspiring students. Making them feel comfortable with scientific understanding. Then be normalized to good academic behavior and skills. Making them feel good about who they are.

Q: How has being the best science teacher changed you?
A: Let me clarify:I do not think i am the best science teacher.

I think that teaching science has given me a better perspective on how to live well. Though teaching is primarily about giving I have gained a great deal from my students. Who they are and how they learn has shown me what I truly care about. I care about my fellow man/women in a way that i hadn't realized before. I want the world to be a safer place with an open dialogue about who we are and who we can be. My students have given my breath that i would never give up-the breath of youth everlasting.
