Beginning last week, some major changes have taken place at Robinson High. Police surveillance will be increased on the roads around campus. Mr. VanCleave has called for more police around and on school campus. “It will make driving a little safer around campus,” he explained.

The police will be patrolling during peak driving hours, such as before and after school and during lunch hour.

The speed limit on Tate Street is 30 mph, but during school zone times it is 20 mph. The parking lot speed limit at RHS is 10 mph at all times.

Students are divided on this subject. Senior Brady McWhorter says “I am against this I don’t think we need the extra surveillance”. However, others applaud the change. “I’m glad, I think it will help keep the campus a little safer,” says Chris Elfrez another RHS senior.

Hopefully the increase in police surveillance will decrease the parking lot wrecks and increase the safety of drivers around campus.
