As 3-D takes over modern entertainment, few know that the industry is starting to spill into the world of video gaming. Conformists everywhere are anxious for such an explosion, and as the first 3-D video game models are being devoured, the revolution has, in a word, begun.
Here they come. The question that most are asking, however, is will they stay? A devoted gamer and popular blogger on the evolution of video games, Marc Babineau, has put much insight on the development of the business. “It will be a lot more like actually being a part of the game, as opposed to simply controlling the game. If playing games like The Sims makes people feel like they are gods, just wait until 3-D [video games] become affordable to the masses who are the legions of video game players,” states Babineau, but continues to say that since such a venture is expensive, most gaming industries are timid about how they can please their consumers.
Video game world controller Nintendo has been the first to jump into the new process, and through competition, more are destined to join the fray; however, reports from Marketwatch.com show that Nintendo’s stocks have been dropping ever since they have ventured into the new arena.
Soon, the player will not only be puppeting Mario, but will be hand in hand exploring the new mechanics of what complete submergence in video games can offer.
