(June 10, 2011) -- When first starting out as a freshman at Clark Magnet High School, usually the underclassmen boarding the school bus think, "Wow, I can't wait to drive to school and leave early like the seniors do.” At least that's what senior Tadeh Kazagian thought on his first day. Clark's parking lot sports a wide array of cars, ranging from sports cars to mini SUVs. As classmates pass each other in the hallway, students might hear them talk about cars and getting all worked up over how nice or how fast one car is. Whether they're talking about M3's, GTI's, or the cars in Fast Five, it seems that having a car at Clark is essential no matter how much the cost.

"I think people in our parking lot need to relax a bit,” says senior Artem Hartounian. “Everyone is racing to get out of there and show off.” Hartounian believes that the cars in the student parking lot are much more luxurious than the staff’s parking lot and even “better than the Los Angeles Auto Show!”

Seniors find many ways to add their own personality into their cars.  “My car was the one that my grandparents drove me to elementary school in,” said senior Megan O’ Dean. “It still has the license plate that says ‘Happiness is in being a grandparent.’”

Many seniors are very excited to finally be able to drive to school, but they also have to deal with the senior parking lot. Over the past few years, some students have entertained themselves by doing donuts in the parking lot. “We had to put Mr. Axelgard and security down there this year,” said teacher Randy Tiffany.
