CHANGE (2008): U.S. History and Government teacher Nick Doom stands next to a life size cut out of President Barack Obama. During the 2008 election, Doom decorated his room with campaign posters and pictures of candidates.

FIRE (2009): The Station Fire of 2009 blazed through the Angeles Forest, spanning 336,020 acres in the foothills above La Crescenta. The flames burned down hundreds of structures, killed two people and delayed the beginning of school by two days due to the toxic smoke in the air.

BMX ASSEMBLY (2010): Professional BMX riders, skaters and rollerbladers successfully performed stunts while students watched and listened to anti-smoking information. The Marine-sponsored event showed how drugs destabilize one’s condition and prevent one from participating in a healthy lifestyle.

SCHOLASTIC BOWL (2011): John Azizian, Saro Meguerdijian, Sayonika Monhanta enjoy the moment after correctly answering a question during the 21st Annual Scholastic Bowl Competition on March 14. With the help of lunch and after school practices, the varsity and junior varsity teams worked together to win all three sections of the competition, both quiz portions and the essay writing competition.
