(June 11, 2010) -- "Gosh, I can't wear jeans anymore and there aren't any lockers," said senior Gina De Luca. These were the first worries she had when she stepped into Clark, but for senior Gabriela Chriboga, the dress code was easy to follow. The first thing Chiriboga realized about Clark was that it was the same size as Wilson and she smelled a lot of cologne in the hallways. Clark is different from other GUSD high schools—freshmen take physics, there are seven classes, there is a dress code, there are no lockers, it has block scheduling, and there are fewer students.

"As a freshman, I had the hardest time with physics because I couldn't understand my teacher that well," said De Luca. While many thought that physics was the toughest class, others thought that P.E. with teacher Chris Axelgard was most demanding. "I had him for Health and P.E. and he would push everyone to try their hardest," said senior Catherine Kahng.

"I kind of miss it because everyone was fit and health. I want P.E. right now—I haven't been exercising for two years—and looking back I realized that it was the easiest class," Kahng said. With suicides, mile-runs, Indian runs, shuffles, push-ups, sit-ups, and other challenging exercises for an hour and a half, seniors are bound to remember Axelgard's class.

However, Axelgard isn't the only teacher seniors cannot forget. "My freshman year, Mrs. Provost was my English teacher—the best one," Chiriboga said. "I loved Gruss, he was the best teacher; I slept every day," she said. She loved the teachers in her freshman year, but there was a little problem with her freshman class. "Seniors were tall and freshmen were small," she said. "All the boys were shorter than I was."

"After a while, I realized that I was going to have fun at Clark," said De Luca. "Everyone was chill and that made up for the fact that I had to carry my books," she said. Senior Biju Babu said that at first things seemed awkward at Clark, but after a couple weeks, everyone gets used to the new environment and the new people.

"The first few weeks went by so slowly, but after I got used to Clark, time flew by," said Babu. "It felt like I was a freshman yesterday, but my graduation is coming soon," he said.

This was a very good article. I liked that you used a lot of quotes from other students instead of using just two or three and then adding your own opinion. Very nicely done!
