Interview at Tiffany's

(April 1, 1999) -- Every student vividly remembers the reason why they wanted to come to Clark. It was probably the most difficult decision they had to make. Yet, the students were not the only people who chose to attend the mystery school opening in the fall.

Teachers also filled out applications to educate students at a new techonology-based high school. Randy Tiffany, a health and guidance and physical education teacher at Clark, was one of those teachers.

Mr. Tiffany decided to teach at Clark because he wanted a new challenge in his career. He thought it would be quite exciting to teach students whose goal it was to learn. In addition, he wanted to work with his colleague, Doug Dall, the principal of the school.

Mr. Tiffany stated that the main difference between Clark and and the other high schools within the district is that Clark students actually come to school wanting to learn. Students at Clark tend to be more disciplined, and get along better with their peers.

So far, Clark meets Mr. Tiffany’s expectations, except athletics. He believes that athletics brings schools closer together.

Mr. Tiffany chose to become a teacher because his wife was also a teacher, and he wished to have summer off with her.

Mr. Tiffany advised students at Clark: “Keep working hard together and in the end you will achieve your goals.”
