(November 6, 2009) -- At 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, the courtroom doors finally opened. Clark’s Mock Trial Team entered, anxious to begin the Constitutional Rights Foundation’s Mock Trial, a national competition.

Clark’s prosecution team competed against St. Francis. The Clark prosecution team had to prove that Joseph Bratton was guilty of murdering Preston Palmer in the first degree. Clark won the verdict, but lost the competition by a few points. They will be competing again next Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Sophomore Elijah Lopez, Clark’s prosecution lawyer, felt his team did very well. "We practiced and we worked hard every single day," he said. "We got here and we won [the verdict]." Joseph Bratton will spend a lifetime in prison.
