(June 4, 2004) -- “That’s nucking futs!” was the catchy phrase that caused eruptions of laughter throughout Clark’s amphitheatre May 14. Approximately 300 students walked through Clark’s gates around 7:30 p.m., eager to begin wolfing down the tempting offer of unlimited free hot dogs and lemonade.

ASB planned the first ever Movie Night at Clark. According to ASB advisor Kristina Provost, “It was a major hit and we’re absolutely doing it again next year!” Provost also said that the event was held to bond students and faculty together by sharing a fun-filled experience under the night sky. Students huddled in blankets with friends and the faculty shared laughs while grilling hot dogs.

Principal Doug Dall first introduced the idea of having dinner and a movie on campus, and ASB willingly took the idea and created Movie Night to increase school spirit. Class Secretary of 2006 Anni Hasratian said Movie Night was such a hit because “it was a nice change for the school to get together with friends and to ultimately just have fun.”

Clark’s PTSA and grade level classes generously offered donations of food, freshmen handed out popsicles as sophomores gave out cookie wafers.

“It was the perfect idea of showing Dickie Roberts,” said ASB Director of Activities, Sandra Belderian, “since some scenes were shot at Clark.” When approximately seven minutes of Clark’s campus was shown in the movie, the audience showed their admiration with hollers and applause. “I was surprised to see our school’s gym and amphitheater appear in the movie,” said sophomore Galyver Asi.
