(June 11, 2004) -- Clark sure has a special fondness for barbeques, seeing that we had barbequed hamburgers and weenies for lunch every day in the Panther Pit, planned a senior barbeque on awards night on June 3 and had a western-themed barbeque for seniors in February.

The annual Western Barbeque for seniors was shared by 247 students. Festive activities included a cowboy corner for photos and a face-painting booth, aside from the food.

As for the food, the menu included veggie burgers, regular burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and lemonade. For the rest of the lunch period, the seniors socialized on the bleachers and on the grass picnic-style. Senior Jasmine Bonilla enjoyed herself by hopping around the field on a stuffed pony which later became her stuffed pony.

The barbeque was quite a success and brought seniors together in one of the memorable moments of senior year.
