(November 23, 2004) -- “Say goodbye to Six Flags everybody!” Key Club President Rianne Reyes exclaimed as the chartered buses pulled away from the curb. Content and exhausted from a full day of fun and spirit, the Key Club members were too tired to respond to Reyes’ enthusiasm.

By 7:15 a.m. Nov. 13 Key Clubbers from division three gathered in front of Hoover High School, many with breakfast still in hand, to board buses on the way to Fall Rally.

Every year thousands upon thousands of teens in the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Key Club International meet at Six Flags for Fall Rally, held in celebration of a year full of dedicated community service.

Banded together with Glendale High, Hoover, Eagle Rock, Crescenta Valley, Marshall, La Cañada, Verdugo Hills, Franklin, Flintridge, Holy Family, and Saint Francis, as Division 3, Clark’s Key Club proudly brandished their mascot the “Sharkeys” as they cheered from the top rows of the Bear Theater all clad in the divisional T-shirt. The theater exploded as each division battled to win the Penny Wars, Spirit Wars and the Dance Off. Along with the excitement of spending Saturday at Six Flags, came the tragic tribulations of having to skip the rides to practice for the rally. Students even had to run at the bus at the end of the day, only tomiss out on funnel cake. But of course nothing could bring down the ever-spirited Sharkeys in their quest for a good time. So until next year, “D3's in the huh-house!”.

As the morning continued, members and officers alike contemplated the thought of rain, which had been predicted. And after waiting at the ticket booths for two hours before the park opened, the rest of the day did not seem too promising. But just as noon came around the skies clear and the sun shone again, just in time for Fall Rally South.
