Q: What is your position in the board of directors?
A:I am the director.

Q:When did the board start planning thunder galleria?
A:The board began planning thunder galleria in mid May of last year. This was our first meeting where we discussed what was successful and needed to be improved on from the the previous year's event. We also discussed the roles of each member.

Q: Why does the board need to meet so early?
A:The board needs to meet so early because there are an endless number of little details that needed to be covered in putting on a successful event. Some things need a earlier notice than others, such as mapping out the facilities that we are going to run the event in. We meet to create a concrete plan that we know will be successful. We want to make sure that we can eliminate as many problems as possible and put together the smallest details to create the most magical experience for the children that will leave a lasting impression on their lives.

Q:What are you currently doing to help thunder galleria?
A:As the director, I am making sure that every task is being completed to make sure that there will be a successful event from advertising, to contacting volunteers, and organizing the elf training. The board is working at all these details to make sure Thunder Galleria is the best it can be.

Q:What can others do to help Thunder Galleria? When can people sign up to be elves?
A:There are many opportunities for others to help out Thunder Galleria. For students, there is the option of becoming an "elf" and guiding the children to help "shop" for their holiday gifts. Also, clubs or groups have the option to run their own store during the event where the children pick up the items they share with their loved ones. Store sign ups are in the CC&C (H2), so sign up if you are interested! A large way of helping is in donations. Thunder Galleria cannot be successful without the donations of gently used items. These are the items that the children are able to present to their loved ones. Donations are welcome to be dropped off in the CC&C (H2) at anytime. Students are able to sign up to be an "elf" starting November 18th. There will be a sign up sheet in the CC&C (H2).

Q: How will Thunder Galleria be different than last year?
A:Thunder Galleria will be no different in terms of pride. It is impossible to top of the amount of contribution the community and student body gives in support of Thunder Galleria. Every year, Thunder Galleria has continued to be an event full of festive energy and people willing to help. This will never change and will continue for years to come. The only major difference that may occur is the location of the Santa Pictures and the location of where the elves are assigned their child(ren). Also, we are aiming to make sure that there are a variety of different stores rather than several duplicate stores, creating a larger field of children to "shop" for gifts.

Q: Why should people join the cause?
A:People should join the cause to help the less fortunate by presenting them the opportunity to shop for their loved ones and share the joy of giving. How could you possibly say no to putting smiles on children's faces of this magical night? I think it is an easy way to give back to the community and it is definitely worth the feeling of pure joy and satisfaction of helping so many people in our community.

Q:When is Thunder Galleria?
A:Thunder Galleria is on December 13th 6:30-8:00 PM.

Q: Why did you decide to get extra involved in Thunder Galleria?
A:I decided to get extra involved in Thunder Galleria because of the gratefulness I feel being able to help others and put a smile on their faces. I want to do everything in my ability to be able to create positive opportunities for others that can bring them happiness. It is the most rewarding feeling knowing that you were able to bring someone joy, and that is the reason I get extra involved in Thunder Galleria.

Q: How can someone contact the Board if he or she has questions?
A: Our e-mail address is thundergalleria@yahoo.com. You can also find us on facebook. Please tell your family and friends about us.
