Senior Taylor Kelley -

Taylor Kelley is a senior football player for the high school varsity football team. He has had a great season
thus far and has racked up 16 touchdowns in eight games. With his 16 visits to the promised land, Kelley is the currently tied for the lead in Class 2A football.
Savage Chieftain (SC): How long have you been playing football?
Taylor Kelley (TK): Since fifth grade, so pretty much eight years.
SC: Why do you play football?
TK: For the close, nail-biting games and intense competition.
SC: Do you feel pressure as a senior on the football squad?
TK: Yes, it’s my final year and I would like to end on a good note.
SC: Who motivates you on the gridiron?
TK: “All of the seniors, especially Cade (Hasser) and Austin (Wollert) because they are my buds and give me confidence to run all over the opposing teams.”
SC: Which game this season has been the toughest?
TK: Burlington, the game was filled with a lot of emotion and hype.
SC: What goals do you have for the season?
TK: Beating La Junta and finally winning a state playoff game.
