Drama class performs in Comedy Sportz
Advertising

On November 4, Roseville High School’s comedy sportz team competed at Woodcreek High School.

Comedy sportz features ‘Whose Line is it Any Way’ type of activities such as a game called Forward/reverse.

Even though RHS did not win, the team’s morale is still high.

“I loved it,” said senior Mikayla Davis. “It’s okay we didn’t win. It was still loads of fun.”

In order to win, the crowd votes on who they thought did the best. A lack of RHS attendees seemed to affect their loss.

“We really need more RHS kids to come,” said senior Devon Allen. “If they come they’ll know how cool the Comedy sportz really are.”

Comedy sportz came to RHS after an informational workshop that took place three years ago.

“I went to the workshop that was given and it was fun,” said Allen. “Every school in our district was there [and] it was really cool.”

Like other sports, Comedy Sportz has a JV and varsity team. The JV team is for the beginning drama students whereas the varsity team is composed of students who have taken the class before.

“I was on the JV team when I was a freshman when it first came out and then when I was a sophomore, I went to the varsity team,” said Allen. “I’m a senior now and still having a great time.”

Comedy sportz allows kids to connect students from other schools.

“Comedy Sportz is a lot of fun; it’s awesome,” said sophomore Alexa Bellucci. “Everyone is so energetic and seems to be having loads of fun.”
