My Copeland Concert Experience
Copeland. -

On, Saturday, August 28, I ventured to Nashville, Tennessee to see my second favorite band, Copeland, live in concert. I was pumped.

After waiting in line for doors to open for a little more than two hours, we finally got into the venue which was about the size of our commons area with about a million people shoved in it. This made the room extremely hot and smelly, but the fun that we were about to experience was definitely worth it.

After standing shoulder to shoulder with people you have never met before for about an hour and a half, the opening bands finally began to play. First was Death Comesto Matteson; they were awesome, they played in suits, and opened with the greatest line ever, "I am in love with the lead singers of all the other bands here, except this one." After they played, Matthew came on. They were very good, but personally, I was there for Copeland, and thought they played for a little too long.

Finally, the moment I had been waiting for... Copeland. Aaron Marsh, and the rest of the band, then set up their equipment, and while I was waiting on the opening bands to come out earlier, I had picked myself out a seat on the stage, so I was sitting there the whole time Copeland was setting up. Eventually, Copeland began to play and it was incredible. They started out very loud with, "That Awful Memory of Yours," and finished with "Brightest.” Their music on the CD is amazing, but hearing them live is just so much more awesome. There's just something about standing (or in my case, sitting) less than five feet away from your favorite bands. After the concert, Copeland was cool enough to stay on stage and meet their fans (they even signed my one dollar bill). Overall, the night was very enjoyable and I had a great time. If you ever get a chance to see Copeland live, I urge you to. They are definitely worth the waiting for tickets in long lines, standing with sweaty people you do not know for hours, and the long ride back home from Nashville at midnight . . . you will not be disappointed, I definitely wasn't.
