At-a-glance

RHS presented students the opportunity to showcase their talents to the community and fellow classmates in the annual Variety Show.
This year twenty-two acts performed and showed their talent to the Bath-Richfield community. The came from a pool of thirty-five auditions overseen by a panel of judges.
Director of the Variety Show Amy Fagnilli served as one of the judges.
Fagnilli said that students prepared on their own time and then auditioned. After the auditions selected acts got two days of combined rehearsal, but the rest of the preparation was up to individual performers.
She explained the reason behind the Revere Players hosting the Variety Show every year.
"The show displays Revere district talent. It’s showing the community talents you wouldn’t typically see in the setting of a school," Fagnilli said.
Junior Emily Schprechman sang and danced for her performance in a group called "Soul Sisters" along with four other girls.
"I have participated in the past, and I loved performing in it. I like meeting other people and seeing the new talents they bring," Schprechman said.
Sophomore Emilia Resanovic had never taken part in the Variety Show, but she has seen the show in past years.
"I was good friends with the girls who did the same performance last year (C.L.A.P. 2.0) and when they all graduated last year. They passed it down to me and five of my friends. We created a CD with the music we wanted, and then we put together our choreography and just practiced until we were ready," Resanovic said.
The Variety Show included many vocal performances along with dancing and several piano performances. High school and middle school students were able to perform, and the Revere Players provided all the tech and backstage help. The event was held on January 16 at 7pm.
