At-a-glance

On April 15 some of the Tyngsboro High School Spanish students traveled to Casa Romero, an authentic Mexican restaurant located near Newbury Street in Boston.

The students arrived in Boston around 10 o'clock leaving them just about an hour to shop on Newbury Street.  At 11 o'clock they all went down the alley way and down the stairs leading them to the restaurant.  They had a buffet style lunch and a small lesson on authentic Mexican cuisine.

"I loved the food.  My favorite thing was the Chicken Mole with the chocolate sauce.  I was hesitant to try it but it was so good!" said sophomore Hannah Gillis

Many students said that they loved the homemade fruit punch that they were given at the restaurant, but there were things other than the food that the students enjoyed.

"I loved the food but my favorite part of the restaurant was the way it was decorated" said Gillis.

The restaurant is decorated in a Mexican style.  The walls are decorated different color tiles and the carved wooden chairs give an authentic feel.

"It's definitely a restaurant that I would love to go to again!
