What is the March of Dimes? Simply put, the March of Dimes is a foundation which fosters the main goal of raising money in order to fund research in regards to the birth of premature babies. Premature birth rates have been rising drastically over the past two decades. The March of Dimes has worked tirelessly for several years to work towards a better future, when premature births would be a thing of the past. It is the work of such organizations that give hope for a better future for the world.

The March of Dimes is hosting its annual walk on Sunday, May 1, 2005. The walk is a great way to show your support for the great humanitarian work that the March of Dimes is responsible for. Tottenville High School will also host its own annual March of Dimes walk around the school on Wednesday, April 20, 2005. There are many ways to support the March of Dimes. You can make donations through the internet or through mail. Even if you can not attend the walk, student government officers will be selling March of Dimes items for one dollar each. It is important to lend your support to the March of Dimes because the foundation is working towards a better future. Come out and support your community because each and every person can make a difference!
