On March 21st, in Red Lake, Minnesota, Jeff Weise (who admired Adolf Hitler) went on a rampage killing ten people, including himself, at Red Lake Senior High School, which he attended. This was the worst school school shooting since the Columbine High School shooting in 1999.



The rampage began when Jeff Weise stopped at his grandfather's house before heading to school, killing his grandfather, Daryl Lussier, and his girlfriend, Michelle Sigana, with the pistol he stole from his grandfather. He also stole his grandfather's bulletproof vest and gunbelt. Then Jeff went through the school metal detector and shot the security guard to death. He then went running freely through the school, killing a teacher, Neva Roger, five other classmates, then himself. He also left others critically injured and hospitilized. This violent rampage was said to have lasted for less then 10 minutes.



The community was devestated after this event. Federal investagators are still looking for clues. The school was closed for two weeks after the shooting, and are offering the students counseling if they need it.
