Senioritis Strikes Again!
Advertising
Senioritis is back once again taking it’s toll infecting many seniors among Cameron High School. Senioritis seems to find its way back into the bodies of seniors every year. Although many find a way to stay clear of the disease, it seems many fall to the disease and catch it by the end of the year.

There are many tell-tale symptoms of the disease, including procrastination, wearing excessive amounts of sweat pants, and general laziness. These symptoms can already be seen in seniors just by walking down the hall at CHS. Although many seniors are starting to develop Senioritis, it is a bad decision because college’s are still looking at your grades and your performance in your classes.

Many students are letting the effects of Senioritis get the worst of them and their grades. Senior Katie Ault seems to be determined to not let them effect her grades. She said,"No. If anything I think it's making me focus more on school and on my grades because this is it. These are the grades that I am walking into college with."

As for others, Senioritis has consumed them and these students started to feel the effects early. Senioritis to many seniors dates back to the end of their junior year. Senior Kathy O'Donnell said, "I started to have Senioritis towards the the end of my junior year, but at the beginning of my senior year is when it started to get worse and all I wanted to do was get school over with so I can graduate!"

As school begins to wind down and come to an end, many students find school work more difficult to complete and find it harder to pay attention in class. On the other hand, school work for seniors who have Senioritis is almost impossible. Senior Lena Blackburn said, ”I’m ready for school to be out, and Senioritis is causing me to drag during the school day. Suddenly it’s harder to wake up at 6 o’clock every morning, and school work seems to be harder. I just need a break!”

It seems that Senioritis has its way of finding high school students all over CHS. The only thing seniors can do now is try to finish the school year without letting Senioritis get to them...and their grades.
