$0Over the summer there were many new changes made at Parkview Elementary. The biggest change is a wide variety of new staff members. The new staff ranges from new teachers to counselors. There are three new Fourth grade teachers, one new First grade teacher, two new Preschool teachers, two new Speech Implementers, and a new counselor.$0$0 $0$0One of the new teachers is Ms. Keera Jung in the fourth grade at Parkview. She recently graduated from Missouri Western with a degree in Elementary Reading. This is her first year teaching. Ms. Jung always knew teaching would be a possible career because she has always enjoyed reading and wanted to teach either reading or elementary reading.$0$0 $0$0The fourth graders saw another new face this year. Ms. Kelli Pritchett moved here from Ridgeway, Washington. She attended Graceland University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She also received her Masters at Graceland University. She has previously taught first, second, fifth, and sixth grade, but this is her first year teaching fourth grade. She started her fifth year teaching this year. She said, "I always wanted to be a teacher. My elementary teachers inspired me," and she has wanted to be a teacher ever since then. She also coaches the CMS softball team.$0$0 $0$0Ms. Meghan Sherman started her first year teaching as a Speech Implementer. She grew up in St. Charles, MO and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders. She came to Cameron because she wanted live somewhere new but still in a nice, small community. She said this is the farthest west she has ever lived. She really enjoys her job and she became interested in becoming a teacher because she said, "I feel like the future is really important and we need to invest in it. And what better way to invest in it than to teach the children?"$0$0 $0$0A new preschool teacher at Parkview is Ms. Tracy Clark. She came to Cameron from Winston, MO, where she taught K-12 Special Education . She came to Cameron because she wanted to see a larger district. She went to Northwest Missouri State Univerity for two years, but then switched to Graceland for her last two years. She graduated with multiple degrees. She has a degree in Early Childhood Regular Education, K-6 Regular Education, and a K-12 Special Education Endorsement. She said she loves children and she wants to be a positve influence on the kids and make a difference in their lives.$0$0 $0$0As new teachers start their careers, they aren't just starting a regular 9-5 job. They are making an impact on the future of our society. Like Ms. Sherman said, what better way to invest in our future than to invest in the children?$0
