$0The most life-impacting event happened about eight years ago. It was a devastating disaster. At the time I was just sitting in my desk in my fourth grade class. As I got off the bus and walked into the househorror filled my eyes. Pictures of burning buildings, playbacks of planes crashing into buildings all around the states. There were people crying, clouds of black smokeand ash-filled the skies. This day would later become the most historical day of my life. $0$0September 11, 2001,  was, of course, the day the Towers fell. Thousands of people lost their lives that day.  As a nine year old I didn't know what to think. I didn't know the significance of the towers. All I knew was it was bad. What had happened that day was a horrific event. For a month at least I watched the news covered with pictures of the towers falling down, a plane crashing into the pentagon, and a plane crashing into a big field. The news talked about how all this was caused by people who hated us. $0$0I would watch the news and they would show pictures of these people from a different country and they were laughing at us. Laughing at the fact thousands of citizens in America had lost their lives that day. I couldn't believe it in this time of grief there were people laughing at our pain and sorrows. I found myself wanting to yell and hurt them, but I couldn't do anything about it.  The whole country felt the same way. $0$0It was weird to see how a catastrophe like this brought this country together. It didn't matter if you were black or white, democrat or republican. We, as a country, put away our differences and came together as one. We became one people fighting for one cause. We wanted to protect our families and give justice to those who lost a loved one or many loved ones. We were united for about a year or so. Everyone wanted to go into the war and fight for our freedoms.$0$0 $0$0Then we took a downfall. $0$0We started to hate a man who was just doing what he thought was best. We bashed the men and women who went to war. And we forgot what we were fighting for. Now we are back to where we started, divided and constantly fighting against each other. As a country we need to come together. September 11 brought this country; together we need to find that peace again. Remembering September 11 can do just that.$0$0 $0$0September 11 effected everyone. It brought many sorrows and heartbreaks. It made us realize what real heroes are. With September 11 came many ongoing horrific events, but it's time to put away our differences. Come together as one people united, fighting together, not against, each other. Like the saying goes, "United we stand divided we fall."$0
