Congratulations to Coach Gwyn for his 400th win!

At majority all the games the Campbell High School football team received a lot of support. Support from old friends, family, neighbors, and alumni.

The cheerleaders, the band, and the scream successfully conjoined as one as the principal envisioned it. Chanting “we believe that we will win” and rocking the crowds side to side. Win or lose we know the players as friends, and classmates, and we still greet them with the same smiles and hello.

Is the hard work of Campbell football team truly paying off you may ask? Well if you don’t know already the players have leaked sweat and blood striving to win a victory. The Walton and Milton game was two times the players really put all their heart and souls into getting yards up the field and preventing the other team from doing the same.

Last year’s foot ball season is almost identical to this year. The team has coaches, new players, a new set of seniors, and new challenges to encounter together. Last year the players continuously blamed the coaches for all their failures and weaknesses but now who’s left to blame.

I think the players lost all faith in their selves and in the coaches because of the season not going the way they anticipated. Even though they’re not having a good season they never gave up and always tried no matter what.

“It’s frustrating for me, the coaches, and the whole team. It’s like you want to give up, but I don’t think it’s in our hearts to. We’ll continue to work hard no matter what” says the wide receiver and defensive back Javien Smith (#1).
