It’s that time of year again when it’s okay to take candy from strangers. Everyone puts on the craziest, scariest, and funniest costume to show off for a night. Because Halloween is just a few days away, the excitement is definitely in the air for the students at CHS.
Senior Nicole Kohlhepp says Halloween is her favorite holiday.
“I get to dress up as someone I’m not, which is fun,” she explained.
Halloween is all fun, being able to dress up and go trick-or-treating with friends, but when is someone too old to participate in this activity?
Freshman Joshua Thomas thinks there is an age limit for trick or treating.
“Yes, anyone above 30. When you’re turning middle age, you shouldn’t be a grown man asking someone for candy.”
Many other students of CHS completely agree with having an age limit for trick-or-treating.
“Once you have kids, because why would you want to see a 40 year old man dress up trick-or-treating?” Junior Fernanda Soto said.
As students get older, especially as they get closer to 18, they find that there are other things better to do than trick-or-treat on Halloween. Many attend get-togethers at friends’ homes or go to haunted houses.
Even senior Ashley Harrison tells how she is not trick-or-treating Halloween night because she’s feeling too old for it.
“I might take my little cousins trick-or-treating, but I will probably watch a scary movie with my boyfriend Ryan,” she described.
