New trends, new gear, new threads, whichever you call it, everyone is walking around school in style. There are tons of different apparel seen around the school this fall, including, animal print, bright/neon colors, ruffles, tote bags, and flats.
A really popular theme in clothing this season is peace signs, hearts, and/or quotes with “peace and love.”
“Make sure that you put peace signs and hearts in the article because they are really trendy this year and everyone wears them,” junior Jasmin Jones commanded.
Popular stores this season include: American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Forever 21, PacSun, Kohl’s, and H&M.
With everyone wearing similar trends, a moment is bound to happen where someone might catch themselves wearing the same thing as another student.
“When you’re getting dressed in the morning and you’re thinking about what you are going to wear to school, it would be embarrassing to find out that someone is wearing the same shirt as you,” Jones stated.
Fashion can open up a student’s creativity and different ideas for their style of clothing. This may also lead to new ways to mix it up with clothes.
“I wear whatever fits me and my personality and students should wear what expresses their personality and not what everyone else is wearing.”
Top ten teen styles predicted by www.about.com are feathers, winter florals, tuxedo, purple, gloves, ruffles, plaid, lace, capes, and fringe.
Jones agreed that ruffles are a definite part in this year’s fall attire.
However, there are students that feel our school doesn’t follow the fashion trends. Senior Andrew Janney explained that there are no real fashion trends, and everyone just concentrates on being comfortable.
The outfits that students choose to wear will hopefully be comfortable but doesn’t necessarily always indicate that the outfit isn’t attractive.
Being at school is not quite the same as the runway, but nevertheless, students shouldn't come to class looking like they just got out of bed.
“Coming to school looking sloppy isn’t cute,” Jones added.
All in all, make a bold statement with your own style.
“Fashion is amazing!” junior Molly Killen exclaimed.
