“We had a good meet,” Kelsey Katarow said. “West is a good team too. It is rare to see such a close meet and have two great teams tie like that. We did only beat them by a half a point last year, though.”

Arrowhead hit the track hard right from the start. Katarow racked up three first place finishes throughtout the day with a 26.27 in the 200 m, a 59.05 in the 400 m, and a 4:05.20 in the 1600 m relay accompanied by Sarah Duchow, Mary Huck, and Kailie Seneczko.

The Warhawks also tallied some major points with its second place finishes from Katie Duchow’s 12.88 in the 100 m and Karly McMillan’s 11:54 in the 3200 m. April Lammert also snagged a second for the Hawks in the 100 m hurdles with a 17.15 while Seneczko finished the 300 m hurdles with a 47.43. Seneczko would go on to help the 800 m relay squad of Casey Juetner, Rachel Owsiak, and Jen Hornburg take second with a 1:48.26. On the field, Francesca Norante leaped an 11-00.00 second place finish.

Sarah Duchow nipped at her sister’s heels in the 100 m finishing third with a 13.16 and another third in the 200 m with a 26.87. Kelly Clay also scored a third place finish in the 100 m hurdles with a 17.25 while Lammert tacked some more points on the board with her third in the high jump at 5-00.00. Katelyn Britt vaulted a 9-06.00 for a third place spot as well while Jackie Pasholk launched a 35-03.25 in the shot put.
