Even though he’s only seventeen, Teddy Geiger has already established himself as a talented and passionate musician with the release of his first album, ‘Underage Thinking.’

Born in Upstate New York, Geiger had been interested in music since he was little, learning how to play piano, guitar, and trombone.

During the summer of 2004, Geiger auditioned for the role of Keith Partridge for a VH1 special ‘In Search of the New Partridge Family,” making it all the way to the finals. Although he did not win, he moved on to produce a six-song EP called Step Ladder in early 2005, followed by the release of his first album in March of this year.

Geiger’s style is best described as a mix between John Mayer and Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5.

‘Underage Thinking’ contains twelve songs including the song that most associate with Geiger, “For You I Will.” Most of the songs consist of acoustics and piano, which, along with Geiger’s voice, create a laid-back yet passionate vibe.

In addition to being a talented musician, Geiger’s lyrics are personal and at times romantic. In “A Million Years,” Geiger states that if “I lived for a million years/ I would be right there to catch your tears.” Other songs on the album include “Look Where We Are Now” and “Air Dry,” which both start with beautiful piano solos.

Overall, ‘Underage Thinking’ is a great debut album that showcases Geiger’s musical talent and passion. If you haven’t already heard Teddy Geiger, I definitely recommend that you give ‘Underage Thinking’ a try!
