At-a-glance

Arrowhead came into Thursday’s meet against Marquette looking to win in its final home meet of the season.

“I knew if we were in front or even coming into the final stretch of any race we would win,” Kevin Ewald said. “Now we must focus because the homestretch of our season is coming up.”

Marquette fought hard all night, but in the end, it came up short. The Arrowhead men’s team was just too deep for Marquette to handle. The Hawks looked strong winning 123-57.

Ewald was one of three Arrowhead swimmers to have double individual wins. He placed first in the 200 and 500 freestyle, posting seasonal best times in both events.

“Overall I felt pretty good out there,” Ewald went on to say. “We really came together well and got the close wins.”

Other winners included senior Chris Perry, winning the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke, and Conner Andrews with impressive wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle. AJ Defillippis placed first in the 200 individual medley. The Hawks were swimming with confidence all night as they won the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and the 400 freestyle relay.
