At-a-glance

Arrowhead senior Ryan Saeger is back for his second season as starting quarterback. He has expectations, worries and interesting things to say about the season. I interviewed him on Monday, September 5, and here is what he had to say:

Q: When did you start playing football?

A: “I started in third grade in the Hudson Hawks program.”

Q: Why did you choose to play quarterback?

A: “Because of Mia Lichte. She’s my motivation and an outstanding fan.”

Q: What pressure comes along with playing quarterback for the Arrowhead Warhawks?

A: “There is definitely pressure on and off the field because most people say quarterback is the most important position on the field. You’re expected to be a leader and you can’t let your teammates down.”

Q: What is your favorite vacation?

A: “Last year when I went to Destin, Florida, with my family and friends.  It was a lot of fun. “

Q: What are your expectations for this season?

A: “Hopefully make a deep playoff run and accomplish every players dream: a state championship.”
